“The work of Community Action is complex, strategic, deeply meaningful, and sometime exhausting. We’re meeting ever-changing local needs and providing supportive resources for families on their economic security and personal wellbeing journey. Having CAAP behind us—streamlining efforts, providing exceptional training for our staff, and sharing best practices—helps us stay focused on the critical work of building strong families and vibrant communities. We are so appreciative of the CAAP Team!”

"I am inspired by CAAP’s commitment to empowering communities across the Commonwealth. I serve on the Board because I believe in the power of collective action—when we center community voices and invest in lasting solutions, we create real pathways to prosperity. Through CAAP’s leadership, we are shaping a more just and inclusive future for generations to come."

“I’ve been on CAAP’s board through the hard seasons, when the value wasn’t clear and the impact felt distant. But I stayed because I believed in what it could become, and because our board created space for that transformation to take root. CAAP has grown into an intentional, connected, and relevant force. They’re telling the truth about poverty and elevating the work of community action in a way that resonates. My connection isn’t just a board seat. I’ve proudly served on the Equity and Governance Committees because this work matters, and being part of this board means being part of something that actually moves the needle for us all.”

I’m proud to be part of a network that turns challenges into solutions every single day.”
-
“While each Community Action Agency is different, based on local needs, being part of a network provides so much value to each local agency. As a member of the CAAP Board of Directors, I can truly see and understand how the Community Action network in Pennsylvania works together to benefit all agencies. I am so proud of the CAAP Team for all their innovative work and appreciate having the opportunity to sit on the Board with so many incredible leaders.”

“I serve on the CAAP Board to address critical issues, enhance transparency, equity, and accountability in decision-making, and support agencies across the state. Community Action Agencies are uniquely positioned to advocate for poverty-informed policies, create strategic partnerships, and offer programs that help families move toward economic mobility. I am passionate about making a difference in our communities and believe in the power of collective efforts to address systemic challenges.”
-
“As a longstanding Board Member who has served in many capacities over the years, I believe that the CAAP is stronger than it’s ever been and the future looks very promising. This is due to the strategic vision and dynamic leadership of the current team led by Beck Moore. I’ve never been more proud to be a part of it as I am today.”
-
“I’m honored to serve on CAAP’s board alongside fellow leaders championing Community Action's vital work across the Commonwealth. While each agency is uniquely shaped by the needs of its community, we share a common purpose: empowering individuals to reach their full potential as they grow stable, strong, and self-reliant.”

"Being part of CAAP’s Board is meaningful to me because I’ve seen firsthand how Community Action changes lives. I’m proud to support an organization that stands up for people, empowers communities, and works every day to create real, lasting impact."

“I have chosen to serve on the board of CAAP because I know the great value of groups pulling together for a collective effort. Each community action agency is very individualized, and focused on their home community, but without someone gathering us and helping to see the bigger picture, those efforts could be lost. CAAP uplifts individual programs while also supporting a statewide and national effort. By coming together with CAAP, our community impact will be greater!”
