CAAP exists to empower member agencies to solve community problems related to issues of poverty.
We run lots of programs, but we try and think how to broker those programs towards an end goal, and that’s helping a family to empower them to reach self-sufficiency or collaborating with the community to create a path out of poverty. – Megan Shreve, South Central Community Action Programs
We are the catalyst for social change. – Sue Auman, Union-Snyder Community Action Agency
By providing quality training, educational resources like the annual conference and newsletters, advocacy coordination, and other services, CAAP equips Pennsylvania Community Action Agencies with the tools necessary to alleviate poverty in their local communities.
