Louisville Metro Emergency Medical Services has been engaged in partnership with the Louisville Metro Community Action Partnership for recruitment and training of low-income clients to become emergency medical technicians. This presentation will provide the details of a successful partnership that resulted in low-income persons obtaining living wage jobs in a career oriented service.

Using the New Exercises in 4.2

Version 4.2 of the Introduction to ROMA Curriculum is arranged around the ROMA Cycle.  There are two new activities in Module 3 (Planning), and the Carter Questions now introduce the concept of “targets” in module 4 and assist in setting up the “math” in Module 6.  This session will provide a brief look at the two new group exercises in Module 3.

By describing and understanding organizational culture, ROMA Trainers may be  better able to fulfill the role of helping organizations perform better.  In this overview of the concepts identified in an upcoming book on the topic, we will learn about the choices that organizations make so we are more likely to guide choices that include a “results orientation” to the work we do.
