Meetings

CAAP holds a variety of meetings for its membership throughout the year. The meetings provide information, training, and networking opportunities to the membership

The CAAP Board of Directors meets six times a year. Additional meetings may be called by the Board President should special issues arise.

A Membership Meeting is held biannually in October to elect offices and positions on the board of directors.  Other outstanding business is discussed as necessary.

Regional Meetings

CAAP’s membership is separated into six regional areas. Each region holds at least two meetings of the members in the region per year. The purpose of the meetings is to facilitate staff development, updating member agencies on salient Association information, sharing best practices, dialogue with grantors and member-to-member networking. Regions commonly combine their meetings to open up more networking opportunities.

Committees

CAAP’s governance structure is made up of committees, task forces and work groups that report to the Board of Directors. Each group sets its own meeting schedule in order to conduct its assigned business.

Other Meetings

CAAP hosts other meetings throughout the year on an as need basis. These meetings may revolve around current topics, legislative and regulatory issues or specific training needs. CAAP also holds two main training events each year, an annual conference in the spring and a management forum in the fall.
