Adrienne Nash, Dolores Colligan, Jeremiah Kauffman, Dan Orr, Chester County Department of Community Development

Homelessness continues to pervade cities across the United States.  Like many communities, Chester County recently adopted a 10-year plan to prevent and end homelessness, which marks a strategic shift toward “housing first” philosophy.  Learn about this stakeholder-driven initiative that rises to the challenge of ending chronic homelessness.

E22: Excellence in reporting: Creating collective statewide reporting (RD)
Dan Leppo, Kenneth Straub, Deborah Hennon & Rodney Rhodes, CAAP Excellence in Reporting Subcommittee

National Performance Indicator information has been reported differently on a statewide and national basis, preventing a universal understanding of community action’s work.  To achieve consistency within Pennsylvania, the CAAP Board adopted guidelines defining terminology and categorizing programs for the COPOS reporting system.  Presenters will explain the guidelines’ development and meaning.
