2007 An On Ramp to Opportunity
- 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Providing avenues of opportunity is at the core of the mission of Community Action Agencies. The federal earned income tax credit (EITC) is an immediate and effective way to assist the low-income. During the last legislative cycle State Representative Dwight Evans (D-Philadelphia) introduced HB1997 that would establish a state-based EITC. Representative Evans will share his vision for reintroducing this legislation and the positive effects it has to assist in the move to self-sufficiency. |
