In the News: Pennsylvanians Who Once Donated Now Seek Help

The Sunday, November 16, edition of the Somerset Daily American featured a report on the growing number of Pennsylvanians turning to low-income programs to help heat their homes and feed their families.

Community Action Association of Pennsylvania Communications Director, Joe Ostrander, was interviewed for the article. He said that the low-income programs across the state are noticing that people who once made donations are now asking for help.

According to the report more than 1.2 million state residents do not have access to adequate food. Pennsylvania also has more than one million people eligible for food stamps.
