In the News: Housing Development Corporation for Northeastern Pennsylvania Brings New Homes to Central PA
Wilkes-Barre’s Citizens Voice filed a report on the Housing Corporation for Northeastern Pennsylvania’s continued efforts to replace blighted properties in the Wilkes-Barre area with new, affordable homes. The Housing Development Corporation is presided over by Gene Brady, executive director of CAAP member Commission on Economic Opportunity.
According to the report, the nonprofit development group plans to complete construction on two new homes in Wilkes-Barre at a site where an old elementary school was demolished in 2003. Prices for the homes have yet to be determined.

The Housing Development Corporation has completed multiple projects over the years including facilitating the construction of 25 homes in Hazleton at the site of an abandoned industrial park.
