W4B - Jumping the Hurdles of Planning, Part 2 (IT&M and B&L)
Dr. Barbara Mooney, CAAP & James Stark,
Part two of this double workshop will continue to identify strategies and outcomes that lead to an effective planning process. The CAAP sponsored NPtP concepts and the e-Logic Model will be utilized to demonstrate connections between need and services and strategies and outcomes. Participants will take place in a visioning exercise that will assist in planning for the future of the agency. Part 1 (W1A) takes place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

W5B - Reaching Agency Excellence (F&HR)

Presenting your agency as a stable and ethical organization to the community is not only important, it is crucial. Government, funders, clients, media and staff all want to be ensured that an organization they are involved with is operating with the highest of standards and accountability. The Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations has established " Standards for Excellence," a nonprofit educational program which includes a voluntary certification component. Hear about the eight guiding principles and fifty-six best practice standards that promote excellence and integrity in nonprofit management and strengthen the public trust in Pennsylvania’s nonprofit organizations.

W6B - The Move to Jobs: SE/SWP Regional Networking Roundtable (E&T)
Nancy Boudreau, Berks Community Action Program, Anita Cramer, South Central Community Action Programs & Tom Scott, Lawrence County Community Action Partnership
Supportive engagement and support work program staff will have the opportunity to gather and discuss the various issues and concerns with their regional and statewide counterparts. Exchange ideas, common goals and new approaches in your regional group and then come together to share with the statewide network. The session is the perfect opportunity to prepare for the follow up session with Ruth Ann Vandyke from the Division of Policy & Implementation.

W7B - Vision for Change: Executive director's roundtable (PP)
Donna Cooper, Governor's Office of Policy & Planning
Often called the Governor's "right arm", Secretary Cooper will discuss public policy from the executive branch perspective. Take the opportunity to interact and ask question about the policy and legislative initiatives for the future. Secretary Cooper will participate in the panel discussion "Eliminating Poverty in the Commonwealth" from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
